Hello, you have been summoned to my first post. The title says it all. I hope some day, some post, the title will not be true.

Actually, it doesn't matter; this blog thing is for mine own eyes to behold, an external hard drive for mine feeble memory, and possibly - in the fantastic future - an alibi of some sort. Or perhaps, I will come across secret evidence of a conspiracy and reveal it here to the world before I succumb to government pressure and retire to the river. There are just so many possibilities for the future of this public-yet-oh-so-easy-to-publish diary.

The truth is: I am not sure how public/private a thing of this nature should be. But sometimes, my dear family members and/or friends, I have felicitous mischance encounters and stories that perhaps I could share with you.

As for today, it is a Thursday afternoon, this European city is cold and misty and promising a snowstorm, the likes of which have never been seen since 1985 (the year of my birth). I was supposed to fly home to a town-that-shall-not-be-named but I have a sneaking suspicion that the people of this nation (a people of typically olive complexion) will run about in terror at the first drop of snow and take a 3 day break to recover.

  1. Oh, that the faith in future greatness I have for this anonymous and dimly lit corner of the virtual world be not unfounded! Your audience awaits in cheerful trepidation...

  2. Hmmmmmm. Who could this unknown woman be that lives in a far away European City? Born in the same year as I? Stumped.

If you, or anyone you know has information on this unknown person, call 1-800-CRIMESTOPPERS (no one will know your name).

I do hope that the snow holds off until at least Sunday so her best Sal pal can greet her with open arms in this town-that-shall-not-be-named. Guten tag and good riddance.
